Valentines Day

For this year, I have made some lovely heart dog bandanas, show your pooch (or moggy!) how much you care :) Harry is a pure Romeo in his!! If you would like to order one please do so as soon as possible to ensure they reach you for the special day.

Count down to Christmas

Well it is nearly that time of year again, the only thing I have managed to make for it so far is a Christmassy dog bandana. I have also made some dog caps! I saw these at The Robinhood and Country Fair last month and they looked adorable. You would think the dog wouldn't like to wear them but apparently they're not fussed!

I have also got two new stockists for my pet accessories one is Mrs Bishop's Doggy Deli which sells yummy treats for your pup and kitty. The second is Little Scruffs an online pet boutique which is sweat shop free specialising in products from local Designers.

Handmade Monday - Happy St Patrick's Day!

Wow handmade Monday has come again! The week seems to just fly by!

This week I have been finishing a collection ready to send to Danielle of HanniMay's Gift Emporium. It is a vintage style, with lots of lovely flower print purses.  I shall put the piccies up once they have been sent to Danielle.

I am also getting lots of new products together for my fairs that I have coming up. First one is next weekend! If you are in the Lincoln area, why not pop by to Kind bar where they hold a monthly vintage fair it's free to have a nosy and you can get a nice coffee and cake!

Handmade Monday - Midas Touch Gold Prom Bag Collection

I have recently been updating my Prom makes, the latest collection is called 'Midas Touch' and yes, you guessed it, it is all about the Gold.

Each bag has been designed from the initial sketch through to the pattern and creation by myself. I wanted to add a touch of extra class to these collections as I know how important Prom night can be. These

 designs are made using a satin backed Silk dupion, and fully lined in Chinese satin. Each bag contains a fully functional inside zip pocket to keep your Prom purse,plastic and keys safe.

They measure approx 32cm x 16cm and fasten with a magnetic brass clasp.

The latest collection for ZukieStyle is created using old re-cycled garments and made into quirky purses and bags.

I was asked to become part of the Get Sneaky Team just before Christmas at an event for the Princes' Trust. 'Sneaky is ……a collaboration of talented individuals who create beautiful unique jewellery, accessories and home wear that don't cost the earth.

We produce products that are recycled and show one persons trash is another's treasure.'

Prom Collection Now Available

Over the last few days I have been working on my new prom collections for 2011. I have nearly completed the 'back to black collection' and what I have made so far is now available to purchase through the ZukieStyle website, Ebay or Etsy. If you are interested in anything similar do get in touch! These designs will also be available in pink,gold and purple.

Collection for Galaxy Pageants UK - Finally finished!!!

Phew!!! The collection is done and the bags are eagerly awaiting their new home in the winners and finalists hands!

Late 2009, I was asked by Galaxy Pageants to be an official prize sponsor for their contest in March.
I gladly accepted. This was a nice experience to create pretty, sparkly and girly products as most of my creations up until now have been quite vintage inspired.

The aim was to use the Union Jack as a design feature. Last year, the winner Hayley Mac took a bag with the design to the internationals in America where it proved quite popular. My mission - to create a similar idea for my collection, but handmade and individual of course.

So....here are the completed designs! There is a clutch for each winner (Miss & Miss Teen Galaxy) and the 5 runners up in each category will receive a purse.

The main fabric is Duchess Satin in Gold.
Lined with a Black Satin.
Lace & Ribbon detail with clear Hot-Fix diamante.
